Bitter Sweet Sugar: A Goldfish that Went to a Dessert Shop is a group exhibition in 2021 in Gallery Bincan, South Korea, held by three artists, Newmoon, Sino, and Jeeah.
The theme of the exhibition is about different forms of stereotypes and how we deal with them.
I created two 3D scenes, Goldfishes swimming in the space, and Goldfishes trapped in a dark silent room. Each scene represents how we limit ourselves due to the stereotypes we have and the infinite possibilities outside the box. I projected each scene on the wall using two projectors and designed the space using dark satin cloths, roses, and reflective gem sculptures. My pieces were interactive thus the audience could stand in front of the projector so the scenes could not only be projected on the wall but could be projected on themselves.
I've participated in the exhibition as a 3D artist, spatial designer, docent, curator, and installation artist. The programs I used for the 3D scenes are Maya, Arnold, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
